📌 Synopsis
Hwang Hee Tae, a top medical student at Seoul National University, becomes an unexpected hero in Gwangju. Persuaded by his close friend and pro-democracy activist Lee Soo Chan, he opens an illegal clinic to help injured protestors hiding from the government.
During this time, Hee Tae meets Kim Myung Hee, a hardworking nurse struggling to save money for overseas studies. Despite their different backgrounds, the two fall deeply in love.
As May 1980 arrives and the Gwangju Uprising erupts, their love is tested amid political turmoil, sacrifice, and tragedy—forever changing their destinies.
