Synopsis
The story follows exhausted webtoon producer Seo Mi Rae, who escapes the stress of reality through a unique subscription-based virtual dating simulation program.
Mi Rae has little time for romance due to her busy work schedule and a nearly nonexistent dating life. By chance, she receives a mysterious device called the “Monthly Boyfriend”, which allows her to enter a virtual reality world filled with ideal romantic partners.
Inside this virtual space, Mi Rae meets a variety of unrealistically perfect boyfriends who begin to awaken her long-forgotten feelings and desires for love.
Meanwhile, Park Gyeong Nam, Mi Rae’s colleague and rival webtoon producer, constantly challenges her at work. Known in the office as a talented and capable professional, he appears cold and distant. Mi Rae feels uncomfortable around him and considers him the last person she wants to deal with.
However, beneath his indifferent exterior lies a series of unexpected secrets that slowly begin to stir complicated emotions within Mi Rae, blurring the line between virtual romance and real life.
