A affluent family in Los Angeles hires the young, rising shaman team of Hwa Rim and Bong Gil to preserve their newborn after experiencing a string of unexplained happenings. When they get there, Hwa Rim feels as though a so-called “Grave Calling” has taken hold of the family, a gloomy shadow of their ancestor. Expert geomancer Sang Deok and mortician Yeong Geun are called upon by Hwa Rim to assist with the excavation of the grave and the ancestor’s release. To their dismay, the four discover the grave in a quiet Korean village in a shaded spot. The exhumation is conducted out without thinking about the repercussions, releasing a sinister entity hidden underneath.
